OK, forget about the famous folks and celeb chefs for a minute — we wanted to check in with some regular people around Middle Tennessee to see where you like to eat.

Some of you chose comfort foods and some picked the fanciest shmanciest restaurants in the city. Many of you picked a combination of the two.

It feels like a person's fave restaurant choices can reveal a lot about them, don'tcha think? Here are some of your favorite restaurants in Nashville.

Healthcare tech manager living in Crieve Hall

1. Baja Burrito (Berry Hill) — My wife and I have had a dinner date here once a week since before we were married and now, it’s become a family event with my daughter demanding daddy dates at Baja Burrito, too.

2. Etch (downtown) — I’ve had amazing meals without even looking at the menu and just asked for the server to order us their favorite dishes.

3. City House (Germantown) — It’s reasonably priced, incredible food, and the Belly Ham pizza with a fried egg might be my favorite dish in town.

1. IT'Z a Philly Thing (Bellevue) — Authentic Philly cheesesteak right here in the South; you can taste Philly with every bite, from the Amoroso rolls to the melted American cheese.

2. Darfons (Donelson) — You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu but the creative combination on the salmon, sweet potato and white bbq sauce dish is outstanding!

1.Redheaded Stranger (East Nashville) — Every single food item here is unique and delicious. My go-to is a crunchwrap and totchos, give or take a Frito pie. Whether you want a family breakfast or hungover brunch, this place is perfect in every way.

2. Bringle’s Smoking Oasis (The Nations/West Nashville) — I’ve been a Peg Leg regular for years and somehow, Carey Bringle has one-upped himself. The brisket and pastrami here are unreal, and I love the meat-and-three setup!

3. Audrey (East Nashville) — Fancy, yet approachable and inviting. The meal and experience are well worth the price, and the food is unlike anything I’ve eaten before. I still tell legends of the dinner I had here to all my friends!

A treatment center manager living in Murfreesboro

1. Kayne Prime (The Gulch) — First up, I like the service, I like the consistency. The food is always good. I can go in and enjoy everything on the menu.

2. The Optimist (Germantown) — Fresh oysters, and a wide variety of them. It’s quiet for me because I go early. It’s a new part of Germantown where people don’t know where it’s at yet.

3. Ed’s Fish House (North Nashville) — Always hot and always good. It’s old-school Nashville. It’s someplace I ain’t got to put on the fake, phony Nashville that’s going on now.

Healthcare facility exec living in Bellevue

1. Voodoo Gumbo (Bellevue) — Down to earth atmosphere with friendly staff. Food is always fresh and delicious. Tastes like New Orleans! The jambalaya is my favorite, with beignets for dessert!2. Miss Saigon Vietnamese Restaurant and Cuisine (West Nashville) — Three words: Pho Filet Mignon. It’s amazing. This is a hidden gem! Staff knows you even after just one visit!3. Redlands Grill by J. Alexander’s (West End Avenue) — Call me basic but there is something about the roasted artichokes, filet and French press coffee that call to me! Definitely a longtime favorite!

Tour manager for Kelsea Ballerini living in East Nashville

1. Tailor (Germantown) — Easily one of the most thoughtful & diverse dining experiences in Nashville, giving you a window into Indian comfort food you didn’t know existed.

2. Locust (12 South) — A small but mighty menu that offers up everything Nashville is missing in an Asian-inspired restaurant.

3. The Optimist (Germantown) — A lobster roll and cold water oyster selection that cannot be matched.

History communicator living in Donelson

1. Henrietta Red (Germantown) — I'm a big oyster girl and this place has the best! The menu is always changing so it's a new experience every time.

2. Lockeland Table (East Nashville) — The food. The people. The creativity. Lockeland Table always gets it right.

3. Barcelona Wine Bar (Edgehill Village) — Love me some tapas and a nice red. Great place for a date or to meet up with friends.

A mental health start-up company manager living in Antioch

1. Darfons (Donelson) — This is my spot! Staff is super friendly, food is consistently well prepared, and there is a lot of variety on the menu. Hands down the best key lime pie I've ever had in my life.

2. Etch (downtown) — Great atmosphere. [Chef] Deb [Paquette] is really creative with her food choices, spices and presentation. Favorite dishes: tempura oyster mushrooms, shrimp and octopus bruschetta, crispy potato salad, venison and blueberry pistachio pavlova.

3. Perry's Steak House (Cool Springs) — I have frequented every steak house in the Nashville area over the years but this one is the best consistently. Presentation is on point. Seafood is extremely fresh. And the steak is done perfectly medium rare every time.

1. Stay Golden (100 Oaks area) — Everything is made in house from their biscuits made fresh that morning to their coffee syrups, and with locally sourced ingredients. The customer service is one of the most friendly and passionate teams I have encountered in my five years in Nashville.

2. Panchos and Lefty's Cantina (Sylvan Park) — I love a good lunch place that has a neighborhood feel with great food!

3. Barcelona Wine Bar (Edgehill Village) — The atmosphere is amazing for a good night out with the girls or when your parents come in town. The food is impeccable with sangria that tops off the night.
